Contact lens dynamometer
The contact lens dynamometer consists of a three-mirror Goldmann lens on the rear side of which a ring-shaped attachment containing several precision sensors is affixed. These continuously measure the force that the ophthalmologist exerts on the eye by means of the contact lens. The contact lens dynamometer is connected by a thin flexible cable with a central unit which has approximately the size of a handheld calculator. On it's liquid cristal display the pressere increase is shown and can be fixed. The measurements relevant to the investigation can be recorded by activation of a key or foot switch.
